I LOVE this lamp shade! I came across this adorable thing on Liz Marie Blog. She even has a tutorial. It is so stinkin' cute and will look perfect in my daughter's room. We are moving to our house in the woods soon and this might be one of the first projects I do to dress up her room.

Project Idea: Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher's Appreciation Week starts tomorrow. My girls and I always look forward to coming up with treats for everyday of the week to show our teachers and school staff how much we appreciate their hard work throughout the school year. We include our bus driver, the principal and her staff, the librarian and our school counselor. While I was browsing the blogs to plan out our gifts, I came across some really cute ideas that I thought I would share.
Don't forget to thank your teachers this week!

Project Idea: Summer To Do List
I LOVE this idea! This is a great solution to the "Mom...I'm bored..." that we hear a thousand million times during the summer when kids are out of school. I found this awesome idea on one of my favorite blogs, A Girl and a Glue Gun.
The idea is to preplan activities for the summer and create a card for each one. A master envelope (shown above) is created and each night an activity card will be placed inside. The envelope is then hidden for the kids find the next day...which adds to the excitement.
Here are some examples of activity cards....
Awesome....right? I am so on this for our upcoming summer break...which is in about two months! I can honestly say that mine will not be as elaborate and wonderful as Kimbo's, but I am excited get started.

Project Idea: Valentine Mailbags just like PB
I have coveted the Valentine Mailbags in the Pottery Barn catalog since they were introduced a couple of years ago. I am so excited to say that I finally find a cute DIY from Our Scoop. They are so cute and she has the pattern and tutorial on her blog. I am hoping to convince my mother to help me out with these. It looks basic enough that even I can do it....with so help!
